The Dreaming View Villa

Haad Yao, Koh Phangan

The Dreaming View sits on a hillside above Haad Yao on the west coast of Koh Phangan, looking down over the bay and the Gulf of Thailand. Far enough up the slope for quiet and privacy, close enough that the beach, the restaurants and a working village are a short drive or walk away. Private, but not isolated.

Haad Yao beach

Haad Yao is a long stretch of white sand on the west coast, known for calm swimming water and the kind of sunsets the whole island drives out to see. Along the shore you will find beach clubs, bars, restaurants and massage shops, easygoing rather than glossy.

Behind the beach a small village has grown up around daily life: a large 7-Eleven, ATMs, a currency-exchange office and motorbike rental. Everything you need for a relaxed stay is within a few minutes of the villa, and the beach itself is within walking distance.

Nearby beaches

A short way along the coast, Secret Beach (Haad Son) is a small west-facing cove, quieter and more sheltered than the main bay, good for an unhurried afternoon. Zen Beach, also close by, is one of the island's best-loved sunset spots and draws a friendly evening crowd.

Because this whole stretch faces west, the sun sets over the water rather than behind the hills, which is why every room in the villa, and the pool terrace, is turned toward the horizon.

Getting here

There is no airport on Koh Phangan, so most guests arrive through Koh Samui. From Samui airport it is a short ferry or speedboat crossing to Thong Sala pier on the south side of the island, then a road transfer up to the northwest coast.

We arrange the pier transfer for you, and it is included in your stay, so the last leg to the villa is taken care of from the moment you reach Thong Sala. Tell us your arrival details when you enquire and we will plan the timing with you.

Private, but not isolated

The hillside setting gives the villa its sense of seclusion. The plot is 1,800 m2, the house is set back above the bay, and the living spaces look out over open water rather than neighbours.

At the same time you are minutes from the beach, the village shops and a dozen places to eat. It is the balance most guests are looking for on Koh Phangan: a quiet, self-contained base with the west coast on your doorstep whenever you want it.

The villa on the slope

The 3D site plan shows how the villa is laid out across the hillside, with two parking areas — one at the entrance and a lower one shared with The Mirror of the Sea next door — the bedrooms and living spaces stepping down toward the view, and the infinity pool and a jacuzzi set out over the slope above the bay.

It is the clearest way to picture how the house follows the land, and why the view reaches every part of it. Not a villa with a view, but a villa designed around the view.
